How to Make the Marry Me Chicken Pasta
Season the chicken
Season the chicken breasts with onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, low-sodium Lawry’s seasoned salt, and salt-free Cavender’s seasoning.
Sear the chicken
Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
Cook the chicken for approximately 5 minutes on each side, until browned.
The chicken will finish cooking in the oven.
Prepare the Alfredo sauce
Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt the butter.
Add the diced onions and cook until softened. Stir in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
Make the creamy sauce
Add the sun-dried tomatoes and their juice, heavy cream, and cream cheese.
Stir until the cream cheese melts into the sauce.
Add the Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Cajun seasoning.
Stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Bake the chicken
Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, nestling them into the Alfredo sauce.
Transfer the oven-safe skillet to a preheated 375°F oven and bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Cooking time will depend on the thickness of the chicken.
Cook the pasta
While the chicken bakes, cook the fettuccine according to the package directions.
Before draining, reserve some pasta water.
